Recruitment

The first stage of the employee lifecycle is the recruitment stage. It includes advertising vacancies, reviewing applications received, conducting interviews, completing vetting processes and drafting offer letters. It typically takes a business 4-5 weeks to hire therefore, it can be a lengthy task which takes time.

What happened?

The Client’s business operates in a sector which is renowned for having a high turnover of staff. In addition to this, it is also a sector which requires thorough vetting of all applicants/employees. Therefore, they were finding that they always had live vacancies and the lengthy recruitment process was draining their time and in-house resources.

Our solution

We provided them with a complete outsourced recruitment service which included:

  • Advertising vacancies on online job boards;
  • Shortlisting applicants;
  • Arranging interviews;
  • Drafting and sending offer letters/regret letters;
  • Submitting DBS applications;
  • Obtaining employment/character references;
  • Compiling personnel files for new-starters.

The result

The recruitment process was successfully handed over to us and we managed the admin side of it from start to finish. The Client could relax knowing it was being managed and focus their time on other duties and responsibilities.

The time between advertising the vacancies and the employees first day of employment was reduced significantly. This was due to the time and focus we were able to dedicate to the process, our expertise in recruitment and selection, and the fact that we did not have the in-house disruptions as the Client was experiencing.
